Implementation of Renewable Energy Concepts
Sustainable delivery. Responsible action.
As part of our sustainable logistics strategy, STERAC consistently relies on green energy sources and energy-efficient processes. Specific measures include photovoltaic systems for in-house power generation, intelligent LED lighting systems for energy savings, modern heat pumps for environmentally friendly heating, and a high-performance charging infrastructure for our electric vehicles. We use our own electricity, and what we cannot generate ourselves is supplied through district heating. In addition, some of our selected partners operate emission-free LNG trucks.
These measures not only enable a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions throughout the entire supply and logistics chain – they also strengthen ecological responsibility towards customers, partners and society. In this way, STERAC positions itself as a climate-friendly, forward-looking logistics provider that actively helps companies achieve their sustainability goals, ESG requirements and CSR standards.

GREEN ENERGY IN ACTION
Photovoltaic System
Our warehouses are equipped with large-scale photovoltaic systems with corresponding storage capacity. The electricity generated is used for underfloor heating, to charge forklifts and our fleet of electric company cars and is stored for later use. Surplus power is fed into the grid.
Heat Pumps
At STERAC, we rely on modern heat pump technology to heat and cool our buildings efficiently. This significantly reduces our CO₂ emissions – fully in line with our sustainable corporate philosophy.
Electric Car Fleet
STERAC also focuses on the future in its company fleet: with our own fleet of 27 electric cars, we reduce emissions in daily operations and promote environmentally friendly mobility. A dual set of forklift batteries serves as an additional “storage system”, with one set charging while the other is in use.
